The Modoc County Junior Livestock Show & Sale is a one-of-a-kind event, held each year in June. Local 4-H and FFA Members exhibit their beef, goat, horse, poultry, rabbit, sheep, and swine projects in breeding, market and showmanship classes. Market animals are sold at auction Friday night after the Awards Ceremony and Buyer's BBQ.
This weeklong event is planned and conducted by the Junior Show Board, a group of youth comprised of local Modoc 4-H and FFA members selected by their clubs and chapters.

Our awards ceremony will be held Friday, June 20th at 4:00 pm.
All animals (Market & Breeding), excluding horses, will undergo a vet check prior to entering the barns/arenas.
Exhibitors must present Health Record at the time of vet check. Please follow the below guidelines:
No animals may be unloaded early. No exceptions!
Tuesday
RABBIT EXHIBITORS: Beginning at 8:00 am, please line up in front of the Sale Arena (west side).
**Vet checks MUST be complete before weigh in.**
Wednesday
Animals may begin lining up for vet checks at 7:30 am.
Vet checks will begin at 8:00 am and will be done by 12:00 pm.
All animals MUST remain in their trailers, uncovered, until a vet check has been completed.
SWINE EXHIBITORS: Vet Checks will be from 8:00 am to 9:30 am.
Please line up along the side of the dirt road (Nagel Street) between the Little League Fields and the Skate Park.
BEEF EXHIBITORS: Vet checks will be from 9:30 am to 11:00 am.
Please lineup in the East Parking lot.
GOAT AND SHEEP EXHIBITORS: Vet Checks will be from 9:30 am to 11:00 am.
Please line up along the side of the dirt road (Nagel Street) between the Little League Fields and the Skate Park.
Any animal(s) not passing a vet check will be asked to leave the grounds immediately.
No exceptions will be made.
If your animal is under the current care or treatment of a vet come unloading time, your animal will not be permitted to unload.
HORSE EXHIBITORS: Any horse being shown at JLS must be vaccinated for Encephalomyelitis, Rhinopneumonitis,
Influenza and West Nile Virus. Proof of vaccination from a certified veterinarian must accompany entry form.
